ISLAMABAD: CDA will divert attention toward Zone II and V

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Spokesman Ramzan Sajid said Chairman Imtiaz Inayat Elahi wants to increase the housing units in the city. In recently announced budget, funds are not allocated for the new sector, so CDA will divert attention toward Zone II and V. “Meanwhile, we have demanded permission from Cabinet Division for the construction in Zone IV,” he said.
According to CDA bylaws housing societies are bound to transfer their plots allocated for the schools and mosques free of cost to CDA and CDA has to transfer ownership of the educational institute’s plots to Federal Government Directorate of Education free of cost. But sources said the Planning Wing has failed to do it. If schools would have been built, citizens residing in the main city had preferred to live in suburbs because there is less noise, environmental pollution and traffic problems.

Which areas are Zones II and V

I lived in Islamabad for over a decade before shifting to the Middle East about 3 and a half years ago. I never heard of Zones. Must be my ignorance.

Can anyone guide me as to which sectors are in which zones in Islamabad?

ZONING OF ISLAMABAD

Islamabad was originally designed in zones, clearly difining the city. as for you/us..... We never needed this information at that time my friend.... and who wants to know which zone he is living kind of thing atitude........ The Islamabad of good old days has changed into somthing hard to cope with.

Do you know that They call DHA Islamabad which is actually located in Pindi (except for a small foothold of Phase II in Sehala, where the famous Police Training School is located.

Also, they insist on calling it Islamabad even when they have crossed the GT Road near Nickolson Monument (going to Taxila/Wah)and into Fateh Jang?

Golra is now E 11.

Please go to CDA website and there you will get the zoning clearly defined. the website also tells you what CDA is up to what it expects from its citizens.
